Featured speaker added to town hall on protecting Lake Huron from nuclear waste dump

LANSING—State Sen. Phil Pavlov announced Thursday that Beverly Fernandez, spokesperson for Stop The Great Lakes Nuclear Dump, will be a featured speaker at the public town hall on Tuesday, July 29 in Port Huron to discuss legislative and other efforts to protect Lake Huron from a Canadian nuclear waste dump.

Stop The Great Lakes Nuclear Dump is a nonprofit organization of concerned Canadians that aims to raise public awareness of the proposed dump. Pavlov is inviting residents of the 25th Senate District to the town hall.
