LANSING—State Sen. Phil Pavlov, R-St. Clair Township, and state Rep. Andrea LaFontaine, R-Richmond, are inviting residents of the 25th Senate District and 32nd House District to a meeting and work group on Monday, April 18 in Harrison Township on the impact of flood mapping and insurance rates.
U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller and several state senators and representatives will participate in the meeting.

Brief: Local homeowners have been adversely affected by high flood insurance rates. Michigan has subsidized the cost of southern states for too long. Our residents need to know why their homes are in the flood plain and how their insurance rates were set. We must pursue policies to restore fairness for Michigan property owners.
